You’ll have to click on the link above. The primary story I want to direct your attention toward in this anthology is “The Greatest Cook in The World,” by H.L. Dowless. Anyway, much has happened to me recently, including this writing success story. Stay tuned!!

Here is a nice link

See the work of H.L. Dowless, “Tale of the Cat, the Possum, and the Rooster” inside this anthology at the link above. Sales of this work and others are donated to the domestic abuse clinic of South Carolina. There have been many more publishing success stories that I have not included on this blog. The rest of my life leaves a few matters up for questioning, however. My great job I had last year at the adoptee’s orphanage teaching history crashed when my teaching license expired. All my principal had to do was send in a letter to reactivate it, but she didn’t. She expected me to take this 150-question test that 50% are guaranteed to fail on the outset and 25% can never pass no matter how many times they repeat the effort. What makes matters worse is that I had already taken it! Why should I be forced to do so again? Setting it up was very time consuming, and I suppose she got tired of waiting, so she simply didn’t renew my contract. So, I rode on. I spent three months teaching in Latin America. My wife took ill, so we returned to the USA for her to have surgery. Now my wife is staying with one of the daughters three hours away and I live/exist in my family’s attic room. I have another teaching job that should come through very soon. Time shall reveal all…

In the meantime one of the items I’m working on is a genuine, valid step by step how-to guide for going from zero to wealthy in the quickest time frame possible. I am also working on a poetry and a short story collection. Stay tuned!!

Inside the work above see the piece by H.L. Dowless. The entire anthology is valuable for being an unusual read to one’s liking, however.

Latest success! P. 42

Lots has happened to me lately in the world of writing. I’ve had numerous success stories. Like this…

https://www.amazon.com/Venturing-Outdoors-Long-Clothes-Hands/dp/8197228221

I firmly realize it’s been a while since I wrote anything in this blog. Franky I’ve been on a personal mission to build wealth. I’m actually working on a how-to book that will reveal every small detail for working one’s way up from absolutely zero, to a quarter million dollars in the quickest amount of time possible. Grant Cardone claims he started with nothing and build a 5-million-dollar marketing business in 3 months, using knowledge alone. He probably is talented enough to pull such a feat off, but at least us among the lower 87% aren’t. I’ll wager that very few are. Anyway, it’s a work in progress and I’ll keep you posted as time moves along.

Hello Again!

Here it is at 2207 on a Friday night, and I’m alone again in the house. Since it had been a while, I thought I would drop by and check in with my blog pals. Lots has been going on since the last time I spoke. There has been much success at being traditionally published, which is the main theme of this blog. Introducing myself to all of you helps a bit as well. I munked around in Tampa for three and a half months after returning from our trip to San Francisco and our two- and one-half week cruise to Hawaii. I had a blast. Its my 24tgh big extended cruise, and we have done six small half day harbor cruises over Charleston Harbor, out to Fort Sumpter, and the historical cruises. We’ve also taken two in Savanna Gorgia, and the nice one in Miami that goes out to Millionaire Island and all of these places. We’ve been on the one in Manta, Ecuador, where you get to explore what was once a real pirate island. Needless to say, we took the Harbor Cruise in San Francisco and rode the Double Dutch Buss. To put it mildly, I love being on the water.

The big news here at this time is that there has been a fair amount of publishing success in only the past three months. A novella I wrote a few years back or so finally found a publisher. I received the 100.00 check last week. Soon as it comes out, I’ll be certain to put the link up.

I’ve had at least two poetry journals agree to publish my poetry. I’ll be putting those links up soon as they come out.

Hello again, my dear reading fans. This is one of the links. Inside you’ll find several of my latest poems. Click inside and seek out the name H.L. Dowless. Honestly, my secondary intent really is to promote this lady’s work. I admire her for mothering this journal into existence. I am very proud that she allowed me to be a part of its birthing, and I fully intend to do everything I can to help out.

My dream is to have my own publishing company, newsletter, online and physical bookstore up and running one day soon. I have four Amazon best sellers, but I feel like I need to win at least one or two literary contests of some sort or put in for and win some sort of literary award. Maybe I am wrong in this conviction, but I sincerely desire this to court conviction of qualification from my potential customers. Like I said in the story “One Day in My Hole in The Wall.” I don’t want to simply be good; I want to be DAMN GOOD!!! The kind of good that invites screams and creates unction in the new blue jeans, if ya know what I mean. There exists a huge difference in this sort of conviction. Anyway, as the other publications of my latest hit the market, I’ll be posing those links as well, so stay tuned!

Right now, I’m in limbo here in the tropics. I’m making a living going door to door giving tutoring lessons for ESL classes. I’m writing an ESL workbook and selling these writings to potential students and interested people. When the wife and I finally get our two fully crafted manuscripts ready, we’ll sell these and quit teaching. We’ve already had many interested potential buyers, so stay tuned for more in days to come. Maybe I can post links to our workbooks when they hit the public market.

As is true in all of my writing, I actually live the lifestyle I encourage and write about. All of these employment gigs I have worked over the years. Basically, for all of my life I have kept myself fed, clothed, and sheltered by working survival jobs of many varieties. Because of this experience, I feel that I am an expert on the subject.

Certainly, adventurers are one group of people who may well need to know and understand the concept of survival jobs. Everyday life can be very boring. Living in the same hole, seeing the same people, working in the same place, often gets very old fast. Many people live like this for thirty years and more! I have found them from California, to New York, to Miami, to Asheville and Elizabeth City NC, and everywhere in between the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans. When one takes audacious chances and hits the high road wide open, he or she may well need to find paying employment quickly. He or she doesn’t have valuable time to muck around with redundant training programs, night classes, and college courses month after month, long hours at a time, and very wealth consumptive. Most of its pure Ka Ka de El Toro, intentionally designed to fleece people’s hard-earned money and create employment for elitist associates and their families, rather than any sort of realistic applicable skills study. Knowing where to seek out good decent paying survival jobs will always be of an utmost importance.

Thinking back, if I could add to the list of employment opportunities listed here inside this book, I would have to include union apprentice jobs. Here one can actually get paid while learning a valuable skill. Employees get pay raises when skills tests are passed during the classroom period. While these types of opportunities are tough to locate, and even more difficult to find available openings in, they are out there as luscious fruit waiting for us to harvest after a virtual forty-year hiatus.

The best news is that pay and benefits are fantastic! So is job security, since terminations must follow the rules of due process protocol. I have also located these opportunities in unexpected places, such as Hendersonville and Asheville NC, places traditionally unfriendly to labor unions, yet filled with citizens who well comprehend the need. In this case, this job included training for electrical work. Starting pay was 18- 23.00 an hour at the time. Other places to seek higher ranking survival jobs might be with seafaring companies. Seafarer’s International would be a good place to call and investigate. For those in love with adventure, there are always decent opportunities to score. https://www.google.com/search?q=Henry%20Lydo&safe=vss&vss=1&sa=Google+Search#ip=1

Don’t know what I’ll do now. My wife’s in Ecuador and I’m way over here on the back side of nowhere with the Tuscarora.

In the meantime, I thought I’d write and publish this poetry chapbook. All of these poems have been published in various e-zines, magazines, and literary journals. Order yourself a free copy in print for only three dollars. Not only does it have poems but is loaded down with exotic photographs from many exotic places. Order a load today for the bookstand, store, package store, flee market, home library, or otherwise! Stay tuned to this little blog for more as the days roll by.

Author’s update

It’s been a little while since I wrote last. Life has been busy and hectic, as of late. We’ve certainly been a moving and a grooving! I’ll bet it surprises all of you reading something such as this from an elderly man, eh? The wife is going back to Ecuador in a few days. I must decide whether I’m going or staying. Presently, my lifeline has reached a dead end. I’m out of work, out of time, and out of direction, with few prospects at the moment, but such is the life of an adventurer, I fear. I can honestly see where I need a few acres of land upon which I may pitch my tent when these types of time periods arrive. I must live until the next gig, and being out on the streets or in the local homeless shelter isn’t any fun. It’s all a long story, but one I’ll surely share on another day and at another time. So, until then, cheers! See Ya in a few. In the meantime, check this out!
